ProHelp
Burton & Dyson belongs to ProHelp, which offers professional support locally for the voluntary sector on a pro-bono basis. We attend regular meetings to respond to requests from local community groups. Being part of ProHelp is a large part of our social responsibility, and enhances our awareness of local economic and social issues.

Citizens Advice Bureau
Peter Bishop is a director of the Citizens Advice Bureau, while assistant solicitor Sarah Grayson attends quarterly CAB MoneyCare Partnership meetings with representatives from the CAB, ACIS, Connexions, the Salvation Army and Lincolnshire County Council amongst others. This partnership looks at reducing debt in the local area. www.citizensadvice.org.uk
ACIS
Solicitor Lisa Whitelam is on the Local Management Board (rural) for ACIS. The Board meets four times a year to discuss housing issues in the public sector and to provide ACIS with input into the way they run local housing. Representative tenants, the police and councillors from the local authority are also on the Board. www.acisgroup.co.uk
Gainsborough Area Council for Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Partner Lisa Whitelam is president of the Gainsborough Area Council, having played a key part in the Council's inception. Through being members of the Council, Burton & Dyson now also plays an active role in the Gainsborough Town Partnership.

Local Parish Councils
A number of members of our staff are involved in their local parish councils either as members in their own right or ‘honorary’ legal advisers.
Support for Local Charities
Many of our members of staff are involved with local charities, either as clerks or treasurers, or helping to raise funds. Maria Bradley is clerk to a number of local charities which provide grant funding to residents of Gainsborough and the surrounding areas.
