Senior partner Philip qualified at one of the top City practices in 1974 and joined Burton & Dyson in 1981. He assumed his current role in 1995.

Philip specialises in all types of business-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contracts and commercial property, while his interest in using mediation to resolve disputes has seen him involved in cases in both the US and UK.

Philip specialises in providing company law services in the Lincoln area and beyond, including mergers and acquisitions, contracts and commercial property, while his interest in using mediation to resolve disputes has seen him involved in cases in both the US and UK.

Philip is also one of around 900 notaries within the UK who can act in legal transactions associated with foreign jurisdictions. He can bridge any differences between the legal systems of various countries to ensure international transactions are completed lawfully.

As the only Notary Public within the Gainsborough area, Philip is ideally placed to advise local organisations on various aspects of foreign business and the validity of any related contracts. His areas of expertise include the purchase and sale of land or property abroad, assisting with documents for immigration/emigration, dealing with Powers of Attorney for use abroad, and authenticating business documents and translations.

In his spare time, Philip enjoys many outdoor pursuits, especially sailing and skiing.
