Writing a Will and administering an Estate
Burton & Dyson can help you plan what happens to your Estate after death to ensure the future security of your family.
A properly prepared Will ensures the people who you would wish to benefit will inherit your money and other assets. We can advise on legal issues which may affect the way your Will is written, such as reducing the amount of inheritance tax payable, making gifts and setting up Trusts.
Burton & Dyson can also help if you have been appointed as an executor of a Will to settle the Estate (also known as probate). We will assist with all the required legal matters, including taxes, administration and the distribution of the assets, and can handle any disputes that arise.
Our charges remain the same whether we are chosen to manage the Estate or if we help you do so.
It is important to consider who will manage your affairs if you are unable to do so. Burton & Dyson can help draw up a Lasting Power of Attorney naming a trusted person to deal with your finances and welfare, and provide advice on care home fees and benefits you may be entitled to.
